The law dated 24 July 2024 amending among others the Labour Code and implementing Directive (EU) 2019/1152 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 20 June 2019 on transparent and predictable working conditions in the European Union (the “Law”) was published on 31 July 2024 and entered into force yesterday, i.e., on 4 August 2024.
Why is the Law relevant for Luxembourg employers? Firstly, it requires employers to update their employment contract templates to include the new provisions it introduces. Secondly, the Law introduces several changes that all employers need to be aware of.
