Luxembourg slips to 6th place in the 2024 Global Retirement Index (Natixis IM Global Retirement Index 2024)
Luxembourg remains among the top-ranked countries in the Global Retirement Index, though it drops one position to 6th with a slight score decrease to 78%. This year, its strongest performance is in the Health sub-index, where it climbs to 1st place, thanks to a notable improvement in life expectancy and consistent high marks across other health indicators. However, the country’s ranking in Material Wellbeing falls to 17th due to a significant decline in unemployment scores, reflecting a rise in the unemployment rate since 2023.   In this year’s index, Switzerland has knocked Norway off the top spot with an overall score of 82%, putting Norway (81%) in second place.
