Invesco has appointed Roel Thijssen as Head of Benelux. Roel Thijssen began on 2 August and is based in the Invesco office in Amsterdam, where he is responsible for distribution in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. He reports to Jillert Blom, Head of Benelux, Nordics and France. Roel Thijssen has a long and broad international track record in the asset management industry.
After graduating in economics from Erasmus University in Rotterdam, he worked at ABN AMRO Asset Management in portfolio management and institutional sales, as well as Barclays Global Investors and BlackRock, where he was Managing Director and his roles included responsibility for iShares Benelux the Middle East.
