The popularity of thematic equity investing accelerated in 2020, despite the impact of the pandemic, to grow by more than 75% in a single year.
While the widespread adoption of a thematic approach to investing is still relatively new, thematic funds now contain around €572 billion of assets worldwide having grown at an annual rate of 37% since 2018.
