As of 10 July 2015, rating agency Fitch has confirmed the "AAA" rating of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg with "stable" outlook. Thus, Luxembourg continues to benefit from the highest rating of the three major credit agencies SP, Moody's and Fitch. Fitch confirms the favourable economic trends in Luxembourg, with growth above the average of the euro area.
As far as the balance of public finances is concerned, the analysis confirms the positive effects of the "Zukunftspak" (future package) but sees potential risks in the long-term financing of the pension system. Moreover, Fitch highlights the relatively high weight of the financial sector in the Luxembourg economy, while at the same time noting its strength and continued growth.
