PwC carried out a study on the competitiveness of SMEs in the Greater Region(1) which clearly showed two principle obstacles plaguing small and medium enterprises: scarcity of skilled resources and administrative procedures. On the other hand, the survey identified innovation as the main driver for competitiveness.
However, SMEs are usually not sufficiently equipped to keep abreast of and implement the latest solutions on the market. One of the biggest challenges faced by SMEs in this context is the rapid emergence and proliferation of cutting edge, affordable smart mobile devices.
