PwC carried out a study on the competitiveness of SMEs in the Greater Region(1) which clearly showed two principle obstacles plaguing small and medium enterprises: scarcity of skilled resources and administrative procedures. On the other hand, the survey identified innovation as the main driver for competitiveness.
