What is your background? How was your firm born?
My background is twofold. Being Finnish, I spent the first part of my career with Nokia, first as a legal counsel focused on project finance and infrastructure sales, and then running a business line producing mobile phone accessories. Being a bit of a software geek, and the second part I have been a FinTech entrepreneur. Silcube started as a spinoff from a Luxembourg-based fund management firm. About 1.5 years ago, we focused entirely on serving private debt and trade finance managers. Now we have news!
