Catholic finance, an emerging practice with many possibilities
By William Lindsay Simpson, President of the Catholic Law Society of Luxembourg - Conférence Saint Yves(i)   An event was organised back in 2016 in Luxembourg on the Vatican Bank by the Conférence Saint-Yves. At the time, “Catholic finance” was not discussed to the extent the subject was not yet born or very marginal. Things have changed two years later in 2018: one of the bodies of the Holy See - the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith - has released a 30-page long document entitled Oeconomicae et Pecuniariae Quaestiones with the subtitle “considerations for an ethical discernment regarding some aspects of the present economic-financial system”.
