The latest IPCC report reveals that human activity is responsible for the current surge in global temperatures, which have surpassed pre-industrial levels by 1.1°C. This has already resulted in blatant and devastating consequences, and continues to be a major risk for future ecosystems and generations to come. In order to limit the increase to 1.5°C and safeguard our planet’s future as outlined within the Paris Agreement, it is imperative that we take initiative and implement concrete and decisive transition actions.
