Luxembourg has always been a nimble player, adapting quicker to the market than other European countries and doing things more efficiently. But over the last ten or fifteen years the country has developed more and more of a niche role for itself. It is no longer just a place that is well-equipped to weather financial storms, but one which has a microclimate all of its own.   The reasons for this stem back, of course, to the beginning of the age of compliance.
