Back in 2019, the European Commission launched the “Europe Fit for a Digital Age” initiative aimed at removing barriers of the “digital” single market via a number of pillars. One of the arguably most-known pillars concerns the regulation of digital services, by imposing new rules on online platforms and Bigtech through the digital services act (DSA) entering into application on 17 February 2024.
