HSBC has appointed Emanuele Vignoli as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of HSBC in Luxembourg, succeeding Niccolo Polli, who was recently promoted to Head of Strategy & Planning Europe and Chief of Staff to the Europe CEO. Emanuele Vignoli’s appointment will be effective on 1 March, subject to regulatory approval. Emanuele Vignoli joined HSBC in 2005 and currently serves as Managing Director, Regional Head of Global Liquidity & Cash Management – UK & Europe International. Prior to joining HSBC, Emanuele Vignoli worked with ABN AMRO and Citibank in the areas of transaction banking front office, and strategy and change management. Representing HSBC, Emanuele Vignoli serves as Non-Executive Director for Vaultex Ltd, one of the UK’s leading cash processors.
