AIFs which originate loans under AIFMD 2: Only Pain and No Gain?

This amendment directive is being referred to as “AIFMD 2”. AIFMD 2, amongst others, introduces new rules for loan-originating alternative investment funds (“AIFs”), AIFs which originate loans (“AIFs-WOL”) and alternative investment fund managers (“AIFMs”) managing AIFs-WOL (“LO-AIFMs”).
