Since 2008, private credit has not stopped expanding. Yet, banks have reduced their exposure to lending because of regulatory changes, and are not able to satisfy the strong demand from the economy. While the past year’s downturns have shaken markets, companies have continued to require financing and are increasingly turning to private lenders.
