The EU institutions have reached a consensus on the review of the European Long-Term Investment Fund (ELTIF) Regulation, with the new regime set to come into effect toward the end of 2023. Linklaters Luxembourg’s Piotr Teklak says the legislation represents a key step toward making alternative funds available to retail investors and removing obstacles to the wider adoption of ELTIFs by the asset management industry.
