1. The post-COP24 landscape
One of the key outcomes of the COP24 summit is the agreement on a set of rules to implement Paris Agreement promises. This includes how governments will measure, report on and verify their emissions-cutting efforts.
This puts in place a common framework as to how emissions are accounted for. It is a very important step as countries now speak the same language.
