The European Investment Fund (EIF) is investing €60 million in Future Energy Ventures Fund I, which aims at investing in early-stage companies with a clear decarbonisation impact, supporting the energy transition.
The Fund, with a target size of €250 million, is managed by Future Energy Ventures (FEV), a global venture capital investor that transitioned from E.ON's in-house investment advisor to an independent VC firm. The investment strategy of the Fund focuses on digital and software-enabled business models, often combined with hardware, that contribute to decarbonising the energy sector.
