RTL Group, the leading European entertainment network, announces its interim results to 30 June 2011.
Revenue, EBITA, net profit all key indicators up
- Reported Group revenue up 3.4 per cent to EUR2,751 million, reflecting higher TV advertising revenues in RTL Groups key territories Germany, France and the Netherlands plus growing revenue from FremantleMedia
- First-half EBITA up 3.7 per cent to EUR557 million, reaching its highest level yet; this improvement was mainly driven by higher profit contributions from Mediengruppe RTL Deutschland, Groupe M6 and RTL Nederland
- Net profit attributable to RTL Group shareholders up 26.1 per cent to EUR324 million
