The ifo business climate index falls from 85.9 to 74.3.
The ifo business climate index was an exciting affair today as two extreme variants of economic leading indicators were released this week. One was the ZEW Economic Sentiment report, which shows that the current Corona crisis is only a temporary setback for the economy. On the other hand, the Purchasing Managers' Indices were published, which made even economists with many years of professional experience shake their legs. The question now was which direction the ifo business climate index would take.
