Will the latest market observations during the European Captive Forum (ECF) result in a new strategic direction of large captive owners?

The European Captive Forum Congress took place at the beginning of November and included European opinion leaders from the captive community. The event provided valuable insights into possible future market developments, which will be discussed briefly in this article.
My observation was that the increase in the number of captives across Continental Europe in recent years has been largely driven by the ongoing hard insurance market, which has created challenges for internationally operating companies in particular.
