Following the agreement reached on the revision of directive 2011/61/EU on Alternative Investment Fund Managers (AIFMD 2) in July 2023, the European authorities finally issued their political agreement on 6 November 2023. The purpose of the revision is mainly to harmonise and endorse existing regulatory developments and practices.
