ING Investment Management Luxembourg S.A. was awarded the license as Alternative Investment Fund Manager by the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier on June 6th 2014. The Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD) was transposed into Luxembourg Law in in July last year. Existing fund managers intending to become AIFMD compliant have until July this year to apply for a license and operate under the directive that will enable them to manage Alternative Investment Funds (AIF).
