On behalf of ALFI, it gives me great pleasure to welcome you to our 2011 Spring Conference. The theme of this years edition is Better regulation, clearer information, more protection. Although recent figures show that the most severe part of the crisis might now be behind us, it is clear that things will never be the same again. Regulators all over the world have taken action for greater transparency, better client information and ultimately better protection.
