Lower smartphones prices are currently driving a digital revolution across the continent and have allowed mobile phone users to access the internet at unprecedented levels.   The number of smartphones connections across Africa almost doubled over the last 2 years with selling prices dropping from an average of $ 230 in 2012 to $160 in 2016 according to the GSMA.
