Democratisation and sustainability – broadening horizons for Luxembourg’s fund industry

One very notable element of growth is the global trend toward democratisation – also described as retailisation – access to alternative investment strategies including but not limited to European Long-Term Investment Funds ELTIFs). In addition to the review and very welcome update of the European Long-Term Investment Fund Regulation, Luxembourg has seen in recent months the Chamber of Deputies approving national legislation modernising the investment fund rulebook.
