Luxembourg has one of the lowest government debt/GDP in the world(1): 24.3%

It is more than Estonia 17.2% and Kazakhstan 23.5% and less than Taiwan 27.5%. The top 10 countries with the highest government debt/capita are Japan 263.3%, Greece 177.4%, Venezuela 157.8%, Italy 144.4%, USA 121.4%, Portugal 116.0%, Spain 112.0%, France 111.7%, Canada 106.6%, Belgium 105.3%.

 

1) The following countries have not been included in the lowest government debt/GDP: Turkmenistan, Micronesia, Democratic Republic of Congo, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Nauru because they have a very low access to international debt markets
