Healthcare: A Golden Age

After being one of the few sectors to offer investors protection in the first half of 2022, global healthcare could continue to play a leading role in the markets. This is the conclusion of Christophe Braun, Equity Investment Director at Capital Group. This may not be surprising as demand in this sector continues regardless of the economic cycle. For example, the sector has outpaced the global equity market in each of the last eight market declines of 15 percent or more. "Healthcare has been a good place to invest since the pandemic began for a number of reasons," Christophe Braun said.
