6, 8 and 9. These three numbers have changed the landscape for investors and asset managers with respect to the perceived sustainability of investment funds (and also passive instruments).
As of March 10th 2021, the EU’s Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR) came into force. We are currently at Level 1 of this directive and it requires asset managers to publish disclosure statements about how they classify their products between 3 specific categories:
