Beginning of 2015, we have witnessed the start of the political discussions on the Capital Markets Union (CMU), marking a shift on the new EU Commission’s political agenda from financial stability to economic growth.
By releasing a Green Paper the EU Commission intends to stimulate the debate on CMU by launching a process of consultation at European level. It is a call to all stakeholders to help the EU Commission to orientate the appropriate way forward. The process is meant to get ideas, suggestions or proposals to improve the regulatory framework in order to create appropriate conditions for the economy to grow.
