Crypto and blockchain, opportunities for the youth – the case of France

By Monia GRUBER, Researcher in Economy and Innovation (Universidad Autónoma de Madrid)   Cryptocurrencies and blockchain represent both new economies and jobs of the future that tend to appeal to many young people.   The limit to the expansion and prosperity of these innovative sectors is linked to regulations. Indeed, in addition to Ordinance No. 2020-1544 issued on December 9, 2020 with the objective of tightening AML/KYC policies around cryptocurrencies, the sector is not regulated.   It should be noted that blockchain can have a bright future if cryptocurrencies are represented.   Legal framework
