International law firm Simmons Simmons has announced that its Luxembourg financial markets practice is to be joined by Julie Carbiener as a partner on 1 May. Julie will bolster the firm's tax team in the region.
Julie joins the firm from Allen Overy Luxembourg, where she has spent over a decade building her practice. Julie focuses on direct and indirect tax aspects of domestic and international real estate, private equity and debt transactions. Julie also deals with the structuring of Luxembourg regulated and unregulated alternative investment funds and specialises in tax litigation and VAT. Working alongside Pierre-Régis Dukmedjian, head of tax in Simmons Simmons' Luxembourg office, Julie will considerably strengthen Simmons' local tax service...
