The visit of Uzbek Deputy Prime Minister Tanzila Narbaeva in Brussels at a forum on labor issues at the European Parliament was the occasion to present the progress made in the cotton fields where, according to a new report of the International Labour Organization (ILO)(1), the systematic and systemic use of child labor and forced labor in Uzbekistan’s cotton industry has come to an end.
