Most of the 91 big EU banks passed Europe-wide bank stress tests in July 2010, leading to warnings that the testing was not strict enough. As banks are faced with growing problems in the euro zone and talk of sovereign debt restructuring by some members, MEPs are asking the European Commission how it intends to make a new round of tests in mid-June increase confidence in EU banks.
