LUX Airport continues on growth path

Passenger numbers up 14.5% to 2.2 million - Freight tonnage up 9.5% to 673.500 tons   lux-Airport, the airport of Luxembourg, is continuing on its growth path of the last few years, which was initiated by the opening of the new Terminal A in 2008. During 2013, a number of new services were started by Easyjet to London Gatwick, Milan and Lisbon, by Turkish Airlines to its Hub in Istanbul and by Vueling to Barcelona. Some of these will see increased frequencies in the course of 2014 and airlines are expecting further growth on existing destinations. Even though no new routes are expected for the moment, the number of passengers at the airport will continue to grow this year.   During 2013 a number of lux-Airport customer airlines saw strong growth...
