During the past quarter, the ABBL, in collaboration with the IFBL and Deloitte Luxembourg, has organised training sessions dedicated to the new CSSF Circular 10/475 amending the existing Circular 06/273. The Circular 10/475, which was published in July 2010, transposes the new “CRD 2” Directive as approved in May 2009 by the EU legislative bodies. The trainings aimed to provide Luxembourg banks with a practical understanding of the amendments to the Circular 06/273 introduced in the new Circular 10/475, as well as their impact on local specificities and market practices.
The objectives were thus the following:
- Introducing major amendments brought by the “CRD 2” package on all three pillars;
